While Appalachia is comprised of all of West Virginia and portions of Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama and Mississippi (see map below), our journey will focus - in the beginning - in Parkersburg, WV and the surrounding areas, expanding over time throughout the entire region.
